Do Men Make Better Drivers?

归类于: cars — 标签: — elimpa @ 7:03 am

Everyone knows of the fact that there's a conflict between the genders about which ones are superior drivers, men or women drivers?
However, even though the appeal seems to be louder from the masculine counterparts, data has a different story to tell.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's analysis carried out in 2004 notes men being caught up in more than 25,000 critical accidents, more than 400,000 crashes resulting in injury and 1,369,000 more occurrences resulting in damaged goods, amounting to a total 1,828,000 more insurance claims filed by male drivers in '04 alone.

This trend, it emerges, continues to remain unaffected even now.

A New SUV for my Dad

归类于: cars — 标签: — elimpa @ 6:13 am

My father just turned in his Ford Explorer and is looking to rent a new one. He already articulated that this drive was a bit too rough on his spine and that it had way too much engine capacity for Florida… Now he's looking for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it needs to be SUV given that he enjoys surfing, etc… plus this is the solitary large car in the house, I borrowed his vehicle some times to relocate stuff around given that I own a Toyota Prius and my spouse a Beetle.

Nonetheless, the budget; it's unquestionably less than US $28k including taxes and fees.

He liked the Mazda CX7, but it's way too inefficient when it comes to power, the Turbo edition has superb muscle and drives well, but for that much he opines he can get something else.

He chanced upon a magnificent deal at Volkswagen for a Jetta SportWagen 2.5L 5 cylinders… but he is concerned with reliability because our Audi Q7 and VW Beetle were constantly having problems. I told him that through a 48-month charter he shouldn't face any troubles (as opposed to driving the Audi like he did for about 5 years).

We also though about the latest Subaru Outback, a pretty darn good car, you can feel quality all over when you enter inside… My father even suggested that he might have purchased the SUV before now if it wasn't for the salesperson being such a douchebag… I feel inculing taxes it gets to $30k or so, but he does seem to enjoy the vehicle very much.

He used the Toyota Highlander (4 cylinders) and said that it drove quite badly… I didn't get to examine that one, however he does look to be sure that his new car won't be a Toyota.

If you know of any agreeable SUVs which he can explore without having to spend an excessive amount of money, your propositions would be more than welcome.
